The 52-day Amarnath Yatra, operated from Pahalgam in Anantnag and Baltal route in Ganderbal, began on June 29. So far, about 3.90 lakh devotees have visited Baba Barfani in the holy cave situated at an altitude of 3,800 meters.

According to officials, the 24th batch of 3,113 pilgrims travelling in 123 vehicles started their journey ahead from Bhagwati Nagar base camp at 2.55 am. This batch includes 87 sadhus and 15 sadhvis.

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel provided security to the convoy.
