An associate of terrorist Lakhbir Singh alias Landa Harike, who is living abroad from Mansa city of Punjab, has been arrested. The Punjab Police gave this information on Thursday.
Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that accused Sukhchain Singh alias Bhujia has been arrested from Matti village of Mansa and a .32 caliber pistols and five cartridges have been seized from him.
On the basis of information, the official said the police team conducted a campaign under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police Pramod Ban and arrested the accused from Bhikhi area of Mansa.
He said that Sukhchain was recently wanted in the case of attempt to murder in Bhikhi. The DGP said that he is a notorious criminal and several criminal cases have been registered against him, including attempt to murder.
He said that preliminary investigation has revealed that Sukhchain was planning to target the rival gang members. Police arrested a shooter of the infamous Bambiha gang in another case and seized two pistols and 10 cartridges from him.
Officials said that he has been arrested from Lidharan village under Maqsoodan Police Station. He said that the accused Aman Kumar alias Golden is a resident of Padraunan village in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh and was currently living in Jalandhar.
