Abu Azmi recently described Aurangzeb as a good ruler in a statement. He said “wrong history is being shown. Aurangzeb built many temples. He was not a cruel ruler. When his commander tried to misbehave with a Pandit’s daughter in Banaras, Aurangzeb tied and killed that commander between two elephants. Later those pundits built a mosque for Aurangzeb and presented him. And if he had been the king, he would have done the same. ” Apart from this, he also claimed that India’s GDP was 24% during Aurangzeb’s rule and the country was called a “gold bird”.
