The material broadcast at the station is prepared by Afghan women. Its associate satellite channel ‘Begum TV’ operates from France and broadcasts programs covering the Afghan school course from seventh to 12th standard. The Taliban has banned education ahead of the sixth grade of women and girls in the country.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Information and Culture said in a statement issued on Saturday night that “Radio Begum ‘had” requested several times “for permission to resume operations and removed the suspension after the station committed commitment to the authorities. Went. It said that the station has pledged “the principles of journalism and the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan to broadcast and do not violate any violation in the future. The ministry did not reveal what these principles and rules are. Radio Begum has not been contacted for a response in this regard.
