West Bengal Police arrested him after receiving input from the district police about Narayan Adhikari alias Haq, who was living in a rented house from a landlord named Rafiq Islam, who is also a Bangladeshi.
West Bengal Police arrested two Bangladeshi nationals in North 24 Parganas district after staying in India illegally with fake documents. Rul Haq and Rafiqul Islam, both residents of Bangladesh, had reached Duttpukur in North 24 Parganas district several years ago and had allegedly obtained fake identities such as voter ID card, Aadhaar card and PAN card by submitting forged documents.

During investigation, it was found that Haq ran a fishing business in North 24 Parganas district. Haq and Islam, known to the locals as a so-called private doctor in the area, had been under police scrutiny for quite some time due to their suspicious activities.
