Akali Dal leader Harjinder Singh shot dead, killed in CCTV!

In Amritsar, Punjab, unknown assailants shot and killed Shiromani Akali Dal councilor Harjinder Singh Bahman in broad daylight. The deadly firing took place near a gurudwara in Chheharrata area, where Singh went to attend a public function. According to the police report, the councilor was ambushed by three masked people riding a motorcycle shortly after leaving the venue. The attackers fired several rounds, leading to Singh seriously injured, who later succumbed to the local hospital.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Harpal Singh Randhawa confirmed the incident and said that Harjinder was targeted by three bike riders. After this, the attackers run away from the spot. The family claims that he informed the authorities about threats and earlier attacks, but no appropriate action was taken. The incident has been severely criticized by the leadership of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Majithia has accused the Punjab government of negligence.
