Taliban Deputy Foreign Minister (Political Affairs) Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai also posted on social media platform X about Kamil’s appointment. India has not yet formally recognized the Taliban regime. But some communication has definitely taken place between the two sides. In the same month, India’s Joint Secretary on Afghan Affairs, JP Singh, met Afghan Defense Minister Mullah Yaqoob. This step can be a positive sign towards India’s dialogue with Taliban.
