The Central Government today issued a notification to send Justice Yashwant Verma back to Allahabad High Court on the basis of the recommendations of the Supreme Court Collegium on 24 March. However, questions are being raised about this. Independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav said whether all the decisions given by Justice Yashwant Verma will be canceled? Are there more Verma like him in the country? Meanwhile, the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court has been directed not to assign any judicial work to Justice Yashwant Verma for taking charge as a judge of the Allahabad High Court.

However, the Supreme Court has said that the transfer proposal was routine and had no connection with the cash dispute.
The Supreme Court has formed a committee of three judges to investigate the case against Justice Verma. Cash was accidentally found in several sacks after the firefighters were called to extinguish the fire in the store room of the official residence of the judge in Delhi. Although the administration as well as the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court were informed about the development, the case was made public a week later.
