All these athletes will receive awards as well as prize money. 5 players from the Indian hockey team have been selected for the Arjuna Award. Whereas four players of Para Badminton are also included in this.
World chess champion D Gukesh, hockey player Harmanpreet Singh, para athlete Praveen Kumar and shooter Manu Bhakar will receive the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. While Jyoti Yaraji, Annu Rani and Neetu will receive the Arjun Award. Five hockey players are included in the list. Vantika Agarwar from Chase has been selected for the Arjuna Award.
Also, Indian athletes had performed brilliantly in the Paris Olympics. The Indian hockey team had won the bronze medal. Spain was defeated 2-1 in the bronze medal match. Also, five players have been selected from hockey. Salima Tete, Abhishek, Sanjay, Jarmanpreet Singh and Sukhjeet Singh will receive the Arjuna Award. Para archer Rakesh Kumar and para athletes Preeti Pal, Jeevanji Dipti, Ajit Singh, Sachin Khilari, Dharambir and Prannoy Surma will also get this title.
