Arvind Kejriwal -led Aam Aadmi Party has lost to BJP in the 2025 Delhi assembly elections. Now the reasons for your crushing defeat are being analyzed. Amidst all this, former Kajriwal colleagues have blamed him for the defeat of ‘Aam Aadmi Party’. His former colleagues say that the politics of ‘excuse, propaganda’ of the former Delhi CM is the reason for this.
Prashant Bhushan targeted Kejriwal
Prashant Bhushan, who was expelled from you due to internal conflicts and differences on the party’s direction and leadership style, said, ‘A party formed for alternative politics, which was considered transparent, accountable and democratic, was given by Arvind. Soon a supremo dominated the dominated, opaque and corrupt party, which did not demand the Lokpal and removed his own Lokpal.
Prashant Bhushan said that he built a ‘Sheesh Mahal’ of 45 crores for himself and started walking in luxury cars. He said that Arvind Kejriwal put 33 detailed policy reports of expert committees set up by AAP, saying that the party would adopt appropriate policies when the time comes. Prashant Bhushan said that Arvind Kejriwal felt that politics could be done with splitting and propaganda. He said that this is the beginning of the end of you.
Kejriwal is largely responsible for AAP’s Delhi debacle. A party formed for alternative politics which was supposed to be transparent, accountable & democratic was quickly transformed by Arvind into a supremo dominated, non transparent & corrupt party which didn’t pursue a Lokpal…

What did Yogendra Yadav say?
Yogendra Yadav, co-founder and election analyst of Swaraj India Party, was also a part of AAP. But in 2015, he was also expelled from the party along with Prashant Bhushan. He described AAP’s defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections as a blow to those who dream of alternative politics.
Swaraj India Party co-founder Yogendra Yadav said that AAP’s defeat is not only for you but also for all those who dreamed of alternative politics in this country 10-12 years ago. The news agency PTI quoted Yadav as saying, “This is a shock for all the parties supporting you and the entire opposition of the country.” He claimed that immediately after the party came to power, alternative politics ‘left’ and limited to welfare schemes that reached the saturation point.
