What did Yogendra Yadav say?
Yogendra Yadav, co-founder and election analyst of Swaraj India Party, was also a part of AAP. But in 2015, he was also expelled from the party along with Prashant Bhushan. He described AAP’s defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections as a blow to those who dream of alternative politics.
Swaraj India Party co-founder Yogendra Yadav said that AAP’s defeat is not only for you but also for all those who dreamed of alternative politics in this country 10-12 years ago. The news agency PTI quoted Yadav as saying, “This is a shock for all the parties supporting you and the entire opposition of the country.” He claimed that immediately after the party came to power, alternative politics ‘left’ and limited to welfare schemes that reached the saturation point.
