Now Babar Azam has left the captaincy of Pakistan’s ODI and T20 team. He has submitted his resignation to the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Babar Azam had done this earlier also, he had done something similar after the ODI World Cup 2023 but the Pakistan Cricket Board had again given him the responsibility of captaincy, but once again he has surprised everyone by resigning. . This time he has blamed his poor performance for his resignation. He has also said that he wants to focus on his batting.
Babar Azam informed his fans about this through a post made late at night. He wrote on X that, Dear fans, I am sharing some news with you today. I have decided to resign from the post of captain of the Pakistan men’s team in accordance with the information given to the PCB and team management last month. It has been an honor for me to lead this team, but now the time has come for me to step down and focus on my playing role.
Babar further wrote that captaincy has been a great experience, but it has also increased the workload. I want to give priority to my performance, enjoy my batting and spend quality time with my family, which makes me happy. Stepping down will give me clarity moving forward and allow me to focus more on my game and personal development. I am grateful for your unwavering support and belief in me. Your enthusiasm means a lot to me.
