Bajrang punia apologize after 2 years from coach naresh dahiya

Wrestler Bajrang Poonia staged a protest against former Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, former head of the Indian Wrestling Federation. During that time, Bajrang Poonia has apologized unconditionally to tarnish the image of coach Naresh Dahiya. In fact, Bajrang, along with Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik, staged a protest against Brij Bhushan Singh in which he was accused of sexual harassment of several junior women wrestlers.

Bajrang had said in a press conference during a dharna at Jantar Mantar on 10 May 2023 that Nation Dahiya himself is accused of rape, so he has no right to question his protests. After this Dahiya dragged Bajrang in court and filed a defamation suit. Bajrang was summoned by the court and he was also granted bail at the fourth hearing. Bajrang apologized to the coach on May 17 and expressed regret over his actions.

Bajrang Poonia said in his apology that, I apologize unconditionally for the wrong and insensitivity statement against coach Naresh Dahiya during the press conference held at Jantar Mantar. I express deep regrets for the pain and pain and suffering to his loved ones due to the damage to the image of coach Naresh Dahiya and my wrong and insensitive statement against him. He is a prestigious coach and has given his best to the country.
