The Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI is going to release the Central Contract List soon for the upcoming annual year. The board will release the list of players’ performance in the Champions Trophy after Kanare. Let me tell you, this list was released in February last year, but this time it was delayed due to the Champions Trophy. Last year, many players included in the BCCI’s contract list were out for not participating in international matches.
There are many players like Avesh Khan, Silver Patidar, KL Bharat who may be out of the Central Contract list of BCCI this time. Last year, all three players were kept in C grade. Rajat Patidar did not play international cricket in the last calendar year after joining the Central Contract. Of course, he performed well in the last sewed of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and was the second batsman to score the most runs but did not get a place in India and England T20 series.
This time Rajat Patidar, who captained RCB in IPL, may be out of the Central Contract list of BCCI. At the same time, bowler Avesh Khan can also be out of the Central Contract List. He took 6 wickets in 6 T20 matches played in 2024. He played his last ODI in 2023, it is likely that this time the charge may be out of the list. KS Bharat can also be excluded from the list, he played his last international match in February 2024.
Shardul Thakur can also be excluded from BCCI’s Central Contract List. By the way, his performance in the Ranji Trophy was also praiseworthy. He can be selected in the team for the Test series against England in June.
However, Shreyas Iyer, who is out of the Central Contract last year, can be included in this list this time. Shreyas Iyer has performed well in domestic cricket and then the Champions Trophy.
