The Leader of Opposition should not behave like this. There may be ideological differences, but this does not mean that he can try to create a partition in the society. He raised the question whether the central leadership of the BJP would support such a statement?

On the statement of the Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari, BJP MP and West Bengal BJP Vice President Jagannath Sarkar said that he is absolutely right that Mamata Banerjee’s government is an anti -Hindu government. BJP MLAs walked out of the assembly on Wednesday after West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee accused the saffron party’s leaders of bringing “fake Hinduism” to the state. The TMC supremo’s comment was in response to the comments of the Leader of the Opposition in the Bengal Assembly, Shubhendu Adhikari. The Suvendu officer on Tuesday announced anger that if the BJP came to power in the 2026 Bengal assembly elections, TMC’s Muslim MLAs would be expelled from the West Bengal Assembly.

The Leader of the Opposition and Shubhendu Adhikari, who separated from TMC, targeted the ruling party, which has been in power for three terms, and said TMC’s Muslim MLAs would be taken out of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. The official had predicted that the Hindu population would oust TMC from power – a comment that the Chief Minister considered discriminatory. The BJP has long been accusing TMC of promoting uncontrolled Bangladeshi infiltration, which a subtle meaning is that Muslims get shelter without adequate investigation in Bengal.
