big accident in goa boat full of tourists capsized one died 20 people were rescued

One person was killed and around 20 others were injured when a tourist boat capsized off Calangute beach in North Goa due to an engine failure on Wednesday. Police has given information about this. Lifeguard in-charge Sanjay Yadav said that a boat capsized on Calangute beach. We rescued 13 people in the incident. We do not know the exact number of people, but the condition of about 6 people of the same family trapped under the boat was critical. We do not know the reason for the incident. One of those 6 people has died.

Police have registered a case of unnatural death due to drowning and are investigating the accident. The incident occurred around Wednesday afternoon, with over 20 passengers rescued by lifeguard agency Drishti Marine Lifesavers at Calangute Beach. The passengers, aged between six and 65, included a family of 13 from Khed in Maharashtra who were present on the boat when it capsized. The boat carrying more than 20 passengers capsized about 60 meters from the shore, with everyone on board falling into the rough sea.

Of the 20 passengers, two children aged 6 and 7 as well as two women aged 25 and 55 were revived and admitted to hospital for further treatment. Two passengers were not wearing life jackets, which made the rescue operation difficult. A 54-year-old male, who was found floating in the ocean, was pronounced dead on arrival. In total, 18 Drishti marine lifeboats arrived to assist the passengers and brought them safely to shore, according to the agency.
