The special court directed an FIR against Siddaramaiah and three others on 27 September last year, based on the petition of social activist Snehamayi Krishna after Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot allowed Siddaramaiah to investigate. The Karnataka High Court upheld the Governor’s decision. Investigations include the IPC, Prevention of Corruption Act, Anonymous Property Transactions Prohibition Act and alleged violations under the Karnataka Land Charge Act.
