Bihar: Police arrested two after encounter in Ara in broad daylight

On Monday, a gang of armed criminals looted jewelery worth crores of rupees from the Tanishq showroom at Gopali Chowk in Ara police station area of ​​Bhojpur district of Bihar. The robbery includes gold, silver and diamond jewelery. The robbers first took possession of the security guard at the entrance, snatched his weapon and assaulted him before looting. The incident caused chaos in the area and the shopkeepers and the people standing nearby were shocked. The right price of stolen goods is yet to be known.

The victim guard Manoj Kumar said about the incident and said that the showroom was opened at 10 am on Monday before Holi. He said that six criminals came in a car and parked him on the other side of the road. According to the showroom policy, we do not allow a group of more than four people to enter, so we allowed them to enter the pairs. When the sixth person came, he pointed a pistol on my head, snatched my weapon and attacked me. Then, he started filling jewelery in his bag. During the robbery, criminals also attacked a salesman before running away with precious goods.

Bihar Police has arrested two accused involved in the robbery incident. Six suspects riding on three motorcycles were seen going from Ara-Babura towards Doriganj. The criminals fired on the police after chasing some distance. Policemen fired back, in which two criminals were injured. The bullet hit near his leg. Two accused have been arrested in this incident, as well as 2 pistols, 10 cartridges, robbed jewelery and a motorcycle have been recovered. A team has been formed to arrest the remaining accused.
