After the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the ISI and the Pakistan government have lost their nights of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed. The sources are claiming that he is worried about his safety. This is the reason that the Government of Pakistan has increased its security. It is reported that the former commandos of the Special Service Group (SSG) have been included in its security team and additional personnel have been deployed at its residence in Mohalla Johar in Lahore.

The mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attack is deliberately placed in a densely populated area, where the mosque, madrasa and nearby common citizens are houses. While Saeed is officially serving a 46 -year sentence in seven terrorist financing cases, his custody is widely seen as nominal. In the order of April 7, 2022, he was sentenced to 31 years in two cases of terrorist financing. It was in addition to the 15 -year sentence given in 2020, in which the court ordered all the sentences to be run simultaneously.
