BJP has made an agreement with regional parties, independent candidates to gain power in Kashmir: Omar

Srinagar: National Conference leader Omar Abdullah alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has struck a deal with some regional parties and some independents to become part of the government in Jammu and Kashmir.Referring to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks in Jammu, Abdullah said he remained “silent” about his party and the People’s Conference during his speech while releasing the BJP’s manifesto on Friday.
Abdullah said, “Those who have made a deal with Delhi will not fulfill your demands. If you need proof for this, then look at the statement of Home Minister Amit Shah in Jammu yesterday.” He said, the Home Minister mentioned the parties with whom the BJP will not form the government. However, he remained silent about independents because they are in collusion (with them).
He remained silent about his party and the People’s Conference. Addressing an election rally in Ganderbal assembly constituency, Abdullah said, I thought he would at least take the name of Engineer Rashid’s party (Awami Ittehad Party), but he did not do so. Releasing the party’s manifesto in Jammu on Friday, Shah expressed confidence of forming a government in Jammu and Kashmir. Shah said, the dynasty-based People’s Democratic Party (PDP), National Conference and Congress will not form a government. BJP will explore the rest of the possibilities.
