Bowlers will benefit from this step of ICC, batsmen will no longer be able to do as per their wish.

ICC is going to work in favor of the bowlers. In fact, South African veteran cricketer and former captain Shaun Pollock said that the ICC Cricket Committee is working towards giving a little more leeway to the bowlers on wides. The reason behind this is that the current rules are very strict on them, especially when the batsmen make movements at the last moment. In ODI and T20, batsmen make last-minute movements on the crease to disturb the line and length of the bowler, which often leads to the ball going wide.
Pollock told PTI, I am part of the ICC cricket committee and we are considering bringing some more relaxations for bowlers on the wide ball. I think the rules are very strict towards bowlers regarding this.
Pollock further said that, if a batsman bounces in the last minute then it is really not an ideal situation for the bowlers. I think it is important for a bowler to know at the beginning of his run up where he can bowl.
He further said that, according to the current rules, if the batsman changes his position immediately before the bowler leaves the ball, then the ball is given wide. I want a slight change in this rule. This 51-year-old all-rounder said that bowlers should know where to bowl during the run up.
