Britain’s Prime Minister Kir Starmer has insisted on setting up a trade agreement with the US. Ten percent tariffs imposed on all UK exports and 25 percent of tariffs on steel and cars can be effectively reduced or removed. In a meeting at Downing Street, Starmer said that his government would react with a calm mind, he told the business leaders in London that he hoped that there was a business agreement with the US. In addition, European Commission Chairman Ursula von Der Leyen condemned Trump’s taxes, calling him a major setback for the world economy, but refrained from announcing new retaliation measures. He said that the Commission handles business issues for 27 European Union member countries, is always ready to negotiate.
