BSP leader murdered: Hooda and Surjewala targeted government for law and order

Congress leaders Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Randeep Singh Surjewala on Saturday criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of Haryana, saying that the murder of the BSP leader in Narayangarh highlights the reality of law and order situation.

Police said that Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Harbilas Singh Rajjumajra was shot dead by armed attackers in Narayangarh in Ambala district on Friday evening.

Police said that he also had two friends with Rajjumajra at the time of the attack. The attack took place on Friday evening when he was in his car. He told that the attackers ran away after the incident.

Former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda expressed deep concern over the ‘poor law and order situation in the state’. He said that it has become clear once again from the murder of the BSP leader that criminals in the state are completely fearless and law and order has completely collapsed.

Hooda and Surjewala said that the incident highlights the reality of law and order in Haryana. Hooda said in a statement here, “The situation of the rest of the state can be gauged by such incidents in the Chief Minister’s area (Chief Minister’s ancestral village falls in Narayangarh).

In a post on ‘X’, Surjewala said, “Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini’s home area is also not safe.” Meanwhile Hooda said that INLD state president Nafe Singh Rathi was killed about a year ago. And in July last year, a JJP leader was shot dead in Hansi. He also said that two years ago some MLAs of Haryana were threatened by phone calls.
