The government has listed a bill on Thursday to introduce and amend the Income Tax Laws in Lok Sabha. The report of the Joint Committee of Parliament on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill has also been listed on Thursday to present it in the Lok Sabha.
The first meeting of the budget session of Parliament will be held on Thursday amid increased dramatic developments after the Congress Party’s stay motion and the JPC report on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. According to the agenda aired by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will introduce the Income Tax Bill, 2025 on Thursday.
After a day’s holiday on 12 February on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are meeting on Thursday. Explain that Congress MP Manikam Tagore gave a notice to postpon the proceedings of the House in the Lok Sabha to discuss the exemption in the “National Security Protocol” for the Khawda renewable energy project in Gujarat on the India-Pakistan border. The Congress MP, bypassing the military objections, demanded a discussion on the process and transparency of giving the project to the Adani Group.
