Budget will give a new direction to the development of Madhya Pradesh: Shivraj Singh Chauhan

Appreciating the budget presented by the Madhya Pradesh government, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Wednesday said that it will give new pace and direction to the development of the state.

Chauhan said, I congratulate the Chief Minister of the state Mohan Yadav and Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Jagdish Deora for the budget. This is the budget of developed Madhya Pradesh, which aims to build a developed India of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.

This budget will give new pace and direction to the development and public welfare of the state. The Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister said this to reporters after participating in the second budget of the government led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav from the Speaker Gallery in the state assembly.

He said that while adequate provision has been made for infrastructure (development), on the other hand, all efforts have been made in the budget to increase agricultural activities and attract investment.

Chauhan said, there should be agriculture, irrigation, agriculture related areas, rural development or urban development, historical provisions have been made in it. The former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh said, “For women, whether it is Ladli Bahna Yojana or Ladli Laxmi Yojana or other schemes for their welfare, unprecedented provisions have been made for them in this budget.

He said that this budget will definitely prove to be a milestone for the welfare of farmers, youth and poor. Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister Jagdish Deora presented a budget of Rs 4.21 lakh crore without any new tax for 2025-26, while announced new schemes for the development of religious places. This outlay is 15 percent more than the previous financial year.
