In Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh, a businessman and three members of his family were found dead in their home on Sunday. A police officer gave this information. The official said the police suspect that these people committed suicide collectively due to financial constraints and internal problems of the family.
According to the official, the deceased have been identified as Krishna Chari, his wife Sarla and two sons of the couple. Chari has a gold jewelery shop in the Gandhi Bazar area of Madkasira.
The officer told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “The family consumed cyanide, which was available to him due to the gold jewelery business.” According to the official, Chari was the eldest of three siblings and was submerged. He said that he was allegedly burnt by the success of his siblings.
According to the official, Chari’s father informed the police after seeing four bodies in the house. He said that the police found an empty bottle of cyanide during the search of the house, indicating that he died of cyanide consumption.
According to the official, the police has registered a case and Chari’s broken mobile phone is being investigated to find out the reason behind the death. The official said that a detailed investigation is being done to find out whether the family committed suicide due to financial crisis or there is any other reason behind their death.
