It was said that Pakistan would not be written on Team India’s jersey along with the Champions Trophy logo. But now the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI has given a big update on this. Besides, new BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has also given his statement on Rohit Sharma going to Pakistan.
Actually, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has rejected all the speculations. In which the board has objected to writing the name of host Pakistan on the official jersey of the team. Devjit Saikia has also given his statement regarding whether captain Rohit Sharma will attend the opening ceremony or not. According to news agency PTI, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has said that no decision has been taken yet whether Rohit will go there or not. He also said that Team India will follow ICC rules regarding uniform during the tournament. After the statement of BCCI Secretary, the continuous rumors regarding the official logo on Team India’s jersey have come to an end.
At present, Team India will play the Champions Trophy 2025 starting from February 19 in Dubai under the hybrid model. While the other 7 teams will play all their matches in Pakistan. While the Indian team’s first match will be against Bangladesh on 20th February, Team India will play against its arch rival Pakistan on 23rd January. Apart from this, on March 2, the Indian team will play its last group match against New Zealand. If India reaches the final of the tournament then the title match will be played in Dubai.
