The swearing -in ceremony took place on the second day of the party’s annual three -day mega conference in YSR Kadappa district. Senior TDP leader and Election Committee Chairman Varla Ramaiya announced the election results in front of the huge crowd and later administered the oath to Chief Minister Naidu amidst the strong cheers of party supporters. Addressing the crowd, Ramaiya said, “Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been elected the National President of TDP for the next two years. He said that a dedicated election office was established for this election and about 600 party leaders came forward to support Naidu’s nomination.

Naidu, who has been leading the party since 1995, has been at the top for a new term, marking the leadership of nearly three decades. The party workers supported him when he was re -elected, which further strengthened his central role in TDP leadership and direction, as the party is moving forward in both state and national political scenarios.

Addressing the workers at the Mahanadu Sabha this morning, Chief Minister Naidu called for the closure of notes worth Rs 500 and above. He said that such a step will curb corruption and increase transparency in financial transactions. The Chief Minister advocated the closure of big notes like Rs 500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000 and called for further promotion of digital payments.
