Pressure bomb explodes one Additional Superintendent of Police dies
In Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, an additional Superintendent of Police was killed and two other police officers were injured after an explosion in a pressure bomb planted by Naxalites. Police gave this information. According to officials, police officer Akash Rao Girpunje and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Konta Bhanupratap Chandrakar and Inspector (Police Station Incharge) Sonal Gawla, were going on foot with the soldiers this morning after receiving information about setting fire by Naxalites in Konta area of the district. Meanwhile, an explosion occurred in a pressure bomb (landmine) planted by Naxalites near Dondra village on the Konta-Erbor road, injuring ASP Akash Rao, Chandrakar and Gawla. He said the three injured police personnel were rushed to Konta Hospital for preliminary treatment, where Giripunje died during treatment.
Chief Minister Expressed grief over ASP’s death in the explosion
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai expressed grief over the death of the ASP in the blast and said that the Naxalites would have to suffer the consequences of the incident. Chief Minister Sai said in a post on X, “ASP Akash Rao Girpunje was reported in the an blast by Naxalites in Konta in Sukma district, which is extremely tragic.” I salute their sacrifice. Some other officers and soldiers were also reported injured in this cowardly attack.

The officers have been instructed for proper treatment of the injured. Sai said, security forces are fighting a big battle against Naxalites in Chhattisgarh and security forces are constantly getting success in it. By this, Naxalites are carrying out such cowardly acts. The Naxalites will have to bear the consequences. The day is not far away when their existence from Chhattisgarh will be abolished.
