Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday launched the ‘e-health’ app and said that it will bring ‘revolutionary changes’ to the healthcare sector of the Union Territory.
The Chief Minister said that this innovative digital solution has been designed to meet various needs including people, citizens, doctors and medical professionals of Jammu and Kashmir.
Abdullah said on social media, “The goal of this app is to bring revolutionary changes in access to healthcare, reduce pressure on polyclinic and improve overall healthcare experience for all beneficiaries.”
The Chief Minister also directed the concerned officials to conduct practical training through the workshops prescribed to introduce the employees to this app.
He said, “After training the employees, awareness campaigns can be launched to educate the public about the app and its benefits.” Abdullah asked the Secretary of Health and Medical Education Department to review every week and Chief Secretary Atal Dullu on a monthly basis to ensure effective implementation and monitoring.
He also said that the minister in charge should assess the function and progress of the app on a quarterly basis. Health Secretary Syed Abid Rashid said that the department has developed state -of -the -art digital applications to guide and support patients and their timbers in access to health facilities and services in both public and private sectors in Jammu and Kashmir.
