Congress governments were expert in making announcements, cutting ribbons and lighting lamps, PM Modi said in MP

PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Ken-Betwa river linking project and other development projects in Khajuraho. In the beginning of his address, Modi said that today there is a celebration of Christmas all over the world. I wish a very Merry Christmas to the Christian community present in the country and across the world. He said that the BJP government formed under the leadership of Mohan Yadav has completed one year. I congratulate the people of Madhya Pradesh and the workers of BJP. In this one year, development has gained new momentum in Madhya Pradesh. Even today, development projects worth thousands of crores of rupees have been started here.

Modi said that today the foundation stone of the historic Ken Betwa Link Project has also been laid. Omkareshwar Floating Solar Plant has also been inaugurated and this is the first floating solar plant in Madhya Pradesh. I congratulate Madhya Pradesh for these projects. He said that today is the birth anniversary of revered Atal ji. Today is the centenary of the birth of Bharat Ratna Atal ji. This festival of Atal ji’s birth anniversary is also a festival of our inspiration for good governance.
Attacking the opposition, he said that in the past, Congress governments used to be experts in making announcements. Making announcements, cutting the ribbon, lighting lamps, getting photographs published in the newspaper… their (Congress) work was completed there and people could not get the benefit of it. Modi clearly said that good governance also means that citizens should not have to reach out to the government for their rights and should not have to visit government offices. This is our policy to connect 100% beneficiaries with 100% benefits.
The PM said that where there is good governance, efforts are made to deal not only with current challenges but also global challenges. However, unfortunately, our country was ruled by the Congress Party for a long time. He sarcastically said that the Congress party has a sense of entitlement to power, it considers ‘Raj’ as its ‘birthright’, but when it comes to governance, its track record is shameful. In fact, Congress rule and good governance are mutually exclusive!

Narendra Modi said that for decades, farmers, mothers and sisters of Madhya Pradesh struggled for every drop of water. Because Congress never thought of a permanent solution to the water crisis. He said that even today, even after seven decades, there is some dispute regarding water among many states of the country. When Congress was in power from Panchayat to Parliament, these disputes could have been resolved easily. But Congress had bad intentions so it never made any concrete efforts.
