Congress leader Jignesh Mevani has questioned the government on Saturday about the ceasefire in Operation Sindoor. He accused foreign pressure and demanded clarity on its terms. Mevani accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of retreating under American influence and asked why the rest of the terrorists were not caught. Mevani told ANI that it has been a month since the government started Operation Sindoor and claiming to catch a terrorist. The Prime Minister claims a 56 -inch chest, says that India is a world guru and sindoor flows in our veins. Then why have the remaining four terrorists not caught yet? Why does Modi not tell the country that under which conditions the ceasefire was agreed?

Mevani further alleged that there was a time when India’s upper hand was heavy. But then the US intervened, pressurized Pakistan and our government surrendered. Why the ceasefire took place? What were the conditions? Modi should tell this to people. Challenging the Prime Minister directly, Mevani said, “I challenge Modi to go door-to-door to catch the remaining four terrorists before August 15 instead of distributing vermilion.”

Criticizing the foreign influence, he said, “America is constantly tweeting about the situation. He claims that if he had asked for it, the business would have stopped. These are the official statements. So why is India silent? Why is India setting the conditions in a case between India and Pakistan?” Earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the BJP -led government over his allegations of arbitration by the United States in Operation Sindoor, alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi “followed” Donald Trump after the “one call” of the American leader and the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi did not kneel in front of America in the 1971 war.
