The winter session of Parliament has ended with uproar. As per its habit, the opposition is also trying to extract political spark from the House in the name of protest. On the occasion of completion of 75 years of the Constitution, a discussion on the Constitution was organized in the winter session of Parliament in which the leaders of the ruling party and the opposition expressed their views on the Constitution.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha and Home Minister Amit Shah in the Rajya Sabha, in their addresses, presented the views of the Congress on the Constitution, reservation and Dr. Ambedkar in the House, due to which the Congress remained speechless and picked up a 12-second excerpt from the address of Home Minister Amit Shah in the Rajya Sabha. Calling it an insult to Baba Saheb, a front was opened against the Home Minister. In an effort to prove this false narrative true, the entire opposition is once again uniting under the leadership of Congress.

Although AAP and Congress are face to face in the Delhi Assembly elections, AAP leaders are also making a video of the Home Minister’s alleged comment and circulating it in the streets in the hope that it might be beneficial in the Assembly elections. Efforts are being made to create the same kind of atmosphere against the Home Minister as was done in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections to prove the BJP as anti-reservation and anti-constitutional. Now every party and leader has started dreaming of sailing their sinking political boat by making Dr. Ambedkar a god. The day after Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra were seen wearing blue T-shirts and blue sarees in the Parliament complex to show their love for Dalits. Why should the Samajwadi Party remain behind in Uttar Pradesh? It also created a ruckus in the UP Assembly with pictures of Dr. Ambedkar and tried to stall the proceedings of the House.
The opposition is trying to organize nationwide protests against the Home Minister’s statement. In this entire incident, BSP leader Mayawati has also adopted an aggressive attitude but by giving strict statements, she is giving advice to all the three parties, Congress, BJP and SP. BSP leader Mayawati is attacking the Congress, saying that the eagerness of the Congress party, which ignores Baba Saheb and always hurts the struggle done by him in the interest of the country, to insult Baba Saheb is a pure deception. Sister Mayawati has also exposed the socialists who are showing love towards Dr. Ambedkar. Mayawati believes that today SP is issuing PDA in the name of Babasaheb whereas the reality is that SP has never loved Dr. Ambedkar. Was not respected. In fact, the socialists had changed the names of new districts, new institutions and even public welfare schemes out of hatred towards all the great saints, gurus and great men born in the Bahujan community including Baba Saheb. In the SP government, even Dr. Ambedkar’s name was not written correctly.
Today the Congress party is proudly roaming around wearing a blue T-shirt and a blue saree and it is feeling that it has found the issue which will make the path of its comeback easier but the Congress is under great illusion. Everyone knows that this is the same Congress party which never respected Dr. Ambedkar nor respected the Constitution. Today Congress has set out to deceive the Dalit community by wearing blue clothes. If the Congress Party had ever respected Dr. Ambedkar, it would not have been in this plight today.
Deep differences had arisen between Congress and Dr. Ambedkar since the time of the freedom struggle. Babasaheb’s first dispute with Congress took place during the Round Table Conference in 1930. Ambedkar wanted a separate constituency for the Scheduled Castes while Gandhiji was against it. Gandhiji even went on a fast unto death against Ambedkarji. On 29 January 1932, after the second Round Table Conference in Mumbai, Baba Saheb said that Congressmen call me a traitor, that is, those who are doing politics with Baba Saheb’s photo today were called traitors at that time. Nehru ji had also blocked the path of Ambedkar ji’s selection in the Constituent Assembly. Due to the Hindu Code Bill and the anti-Dalit norms of the government, Ambedkar resigned from the Nehru cabinet in 1951 and wrote, “The Scheduled Castes need protection the most, but Nehru’s entire attention is only on the Muslims. It is worth noting that even today the Congress Party is completely pro-Muslim.
Congress continued insulting Ambedkar ji even after independence. Baba Saheb had to wait for Bharat Ratna for 40 years while Congress kept giving Bharat Ratna to its own family. Memorials to generations of the Gandhi-Nehru family have been built in New Delhi, whereas the Gandhi family did not even allow Ambedkar’s funeral to be held in Delhi. Congress strongly opposed the ideas of Dr. Ambedkar at every step and today Rahul Gandhi is shedding crocodile tears over his insult by wearing a blue T-shirt. In fact, Congress’s love for Ambedkar has increased after its defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Rejecting all the allegations of Congress and opposition parties, Home Minister Amit Shah has made it clear that he cannot insult Dr. Ambedkar even in his dreams. During the discussion in Parliament, it has been proved that Congress not only continuously insulted Baba Saheb during his lifetime but also tried to make fun of him even after his death. As long as Congress was in power, not a single memorial of Baba Saheb was built, whereas wherever governments of other parties came to power, his memorials were built there. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government developed Panchteerth related to the life of Babasaheb. In which Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial in London, Diksha Bhoomi in Nagpur, National Memorial in Delhi and Chaitya Bhoomi in Mumbai, Maharashtra were developed. On 19 November 2015, PM Modi announced to celebrate Constitution Day on 26 November in honor of Dr. Ambedkar. Today, the people who are roaming around with the Constitution book in their hands are the same people who have been opposing and boycotting the Constitution Day.
Today, the entire opposition under the leadership of Congress is raising the issue of insulting Dr. Ambedkar in the House only because of vote bank politics, because there are 20 crore 13 lakh 78 thousand 86 Dalits in the country which is 16.63 percent of the population. Dalit population is 68.8 percent in rural areas and 23.6 percent in urban areas. Eager to make this population its vote bank, Congress along with its allies is doing new stunts every day because it feels that it cannot get power from the Muslim vote bank alone.
