It is being told that the loco pilot showed alertness and immediately applied emergency brakes due to which the train was stopped on time. Officials said that after this they cleared the track and sent the train off safely.
Once again the conspiracy to derail the train seems to have failed. In fact, Indian Railways averted a possible major accident after an attempt to derail the Gujarat Mail between Bilaspur Road and Rudrapur City in Uttarakhand failed. According to officials, the loco pilot of train number 12091 informed the station master of Rudrapur City about a 6 meter long iron pole on the track at km 43/10-11 between Bilaspur Road and Rudrapur City on Wednesday. The driver managed to stop the train before the obstruction.
It is being told that the loco pilot showed alertness and immediately applied emergency brakes, which stopped the train on time. Officials said that after this they cleared the track and sent the train safely. This comes after many similar incidents were reported across the country. Earlier, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said that the Railways is investigating the incidents of trains derailing due to boulders and roads and rods being placed on the railway track.
It is being claimed that the iron pole was an old used one of the railways. This pole was deliberately placed on the middle track by miscreants with the intention of derailing the train. However, this has not been officially confirmed. Earlier, a passenger train collided with an LPG cylinder kept on the side of the railway track in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. No passenger was injured in the incident. According to the police, the incident occurred when the Kalindi Express going from Prayagraj to Bhiwani in Haryana was passing through Shivrajpur area of Kanpur.
