Cyclone ‘Dana’: 14 trains passing through Chhattisgarh cancelled.

Due to cyclonic storm ‘Dana’, operation of 14 trains passing through Chhattisgarh has been cancelled. Officials gave this information on Wednesday. A public relations officer of South East Central Railway (SECR) zone said that due to cyclonic storm ‘Dana’, LTT-Puri Express, Durg-Puri Express, Brahmapur-Surat Express, Puri-Durg Express, Puri-Ajmer Express, Puri-Ahmedabad. Express and Puri-Rishikesh Express will remain canceled on Thursday.

Public Relations Officer said that Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Hirakud Express and Puri-Nizamuddin Express will remain canceled on October 25, while Rishikesh-Puri Utkal Express and Surat-Brahmapur Express have been canceled on October 23.

He said that due to the storm, Gandhidham-Puri Express was canceled on October 22, while Ajmer-Puri Express will be canceled on October 29 and Ahmedabad-Puri Express on October 26.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday that the cyclone is likely to make landfall in Odisha between Bhitarkanika National Park and Dhamra port in the early hours of Friday.

Bhitarkanika National Park and Dhamra Port are about 70 kilometers away from each other. The Meteorological Department has said that the process of arrival of the cyclone will start from the night of 24th October and will continue till the morning of 25th October.

The Meteorological Department has said that when the cyclone reaches the coast, waves up to two meters high are expected and the cyclone will hit the coast at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
