New Delhi. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva today greeted the Purvanchal community settled in Delhi on the occasion of Chhath festival and said that Chhath is a festival of nature worship. During Chhath, devotees pray and worship Lord Surya at both setting and rising times which gives a social message that we should stand by our friends in both their success and difficult times.
Sachdeva said that the BJP government had started the establishment of Chhath Ghats on the Yamuna banks as per Purvanchali tradition in 1994, but it is regrettable that during the last few years, the Arvind Kejriwal government has deprived them of their traditional method of worship and made them Forced to worship on artificial ghats. It is sad that this year the Kejriwal government did not construct sufficient number of artificial ghats nor provided proper facilities at the ghats.
Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra Seemapuri, ITO. Reached 8 puja ghats including Hathi Ghat, Sarai Kale Khan and extended best wishes to Chhath devotees. Harsh Malhotra said that Chhath is a collective festival which gives an opportunity to people to come together and worship nature without any discrimination between rich and poor.
The media department of Delhi BJP today organized a special Madhubani and Maithali thali feast for the journalists and congratulated the journalists on the occasion of Nature Festival. BJP leaders and workers reached almost all Chhath ghats in Delhi and congratulated Chhath fasting mothers and sisters – Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva participated in the puja at Chhath ghats in Mangolpuri, Bhalswa, Krishna Nagar and Mayur Vihar etc.
MP Manoj Tiwari organized a huge Chhath Puja celebration at his residence and reached more than 15 ghats in different corners of Delhi including parliamentary constituency North East Delhi and gave musical greetings to the Chhath devotees.
MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri participated in the programs organized in about 27 small and big Chhath Puja pandals in Sangam Vihar, Badarpur, Tughlakabad, Mehrauli, Bijwasan, Mahipalpur, Dwarka, Palam etc. MP Subansuri Swaraj participated in the puja at Satpula Park, Chirag Delhi, Moti Nagar, Delhi Cantt etc.
MP Smt. Kamaljeet Sehrawat visited about 20 puja pandals in Dwarka, Matiala, Najafgarh, Nangloi, Kunwar Singh Nagar, Kotla Vihar etc. and wished Chhath fasts. MP Yogendra Chandolia participated in more than 30 Chhath festivals between 5 pm to 10 pm in Bawana, Mangolpuri, Rohini, Kirari etc. MP Praveen Khandelwal participated in Chhath festivals in Sangam Park, Model Town, Shalimar Bagh, Kurdasia Bagh, Haiderpur, Wazirpur etc. Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Vijendra Gupta participated in Chhath Puja in Rohini, Rithala etc. Senior leaders Sardar Arvinder Singh Lovely and Rajkumar Chauhan reached many puja pandals in Mangolpuri and East Delhi.
