Millions of devotees continue to arrive in the grand event of Mahakumbh. In order to reach the devotee without hassle in Mahakumbh, now the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also issued special instructions to the airlines. The DGCA has asked to focus on increasing the capacity of flights to Prayagraj. Along with this, instructions have been given to restrain the rent.

This step has been taken after complaints about the increase in flight fares by the passengers traveling by air. According to the ANI report, the flight fare from Delhi to Prayagraj has reached Rs 25,000. In general, the fare on this route is Rs 5,000, which has now increased five times.

The DGCA has met airline companies on 23 January. They have been asked to connect flights and make the rent appropriate. In January this year, DGCA approved 81 additional flights. Now the number of flights reaching Prayagraj from all over the country has reached 132.

The DGCA says that in view of this possible increase in demand, the DGCA held a meeting with the airlines on 23 January. There was a discussion about the rent in this meeting. According to the ANI report, the airline says that the increase in fares was due to high demand and supply on the routes.

SpiceJet has started special flights for Prayagraj for Mahakumbh. These flights have started from Guwahati, Chennai and Hyderabad. This is to fly straight. On January 25, Akash Air increased its connectivity for Prayagraj with special flights from Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Bangalore to Delhi, apart from his daily direct services from Mumbai.
However, concerns remain concerned about unfair pricing practices. Vishwa Hindu Parishad national spokesperson Vinod Bansal criticized the government and airlines for taking advantage of high demand and described it as “unfair and immoral”.

Vinod Bansal said on X, “The service, security and facilities of the devotees coming to the Mahakumbh being organized on the holy earth of Prayagraj are not only taking care of the state government, but many religious, social and service organizations and people are also selfless Service is engaged in service, but some airline companies are taking improper advantage of the increasing number of passengers and are charging high fare which is completely unfair and immoral. Dedication and respectable hospitality is not to recover unfair fare. “

There is a huge crowd of devotees in the Mahakumbh to be held every 12 years. The world’s largest religious gathering began on 13 January and will end on 26 February. During the Mahakumbh, pilgrims come to the confluence – which is the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati (now extinct) rivers – and take a holy bath, which is believed to have destroyed sins and salvation. Major bath dates include 29 January (Mouni Amavasya – Second Shahi Snan), 3 February (Basant Panchami – Third Shahi Snan), 12 February (Maghi Purnima), and 26 February (Maha Shivaratri).
