Donald Trump improves after PM Modi’s warning? The first time said- two India-Pakistan leaders stopped ceasefire …

US President Donald Trump said that two “very clever” leaders of India and Pakistan took “decision” not to continue a war that could turn into a nuclear war. This is the first time in the last few weeks when Trump has not taken credit for stopping the conflict between the two neighboring countries. Trump made these comments in a conversation with the media at the Oval office after hosting the lunch of Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir at the White House on Wednesday.

US President meets Pak Army Chief Munir

The US President said that he met Munir and feel “honored”. Asked if Iran was discussed in a meeting with Munir, Trump said, “Well, he knows Iran very well, better than most people and he is not happy with anything. It is not that he has a bad relationship with Israel. They actually know both but perhaps they know Iran better but they are seeing what is going on and they have agreed to me.

I want to thank them for not fighting, ending the struggle

Trump said, “I wanted to call him here because I want to thank him for not fighting, ending the struggle.” As you know, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone from here some time ago and we are working on a business agreement with India, so I want to thank. We are working on a trade agreement with Pakistan. ”

I am very happy that two very clever people decided not to carry out the war.

Significantly, Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a program to meet on the sidelines of the G7 Summit held at Canada, Canada but the US President had to return to Washington ahead of time due to the conflict between Israel and Iran, due to which he could not meet Modi. However, the two leaders interacted on the phone. Trump said, “Both of them (Modi and Munir) were here but I was with Modi a few weeks ago. I am very happy that two very clever people decided not to carry forward the war. This could have been a nuclear war. They are two nuclear -rich countries, very large nuclear powers and they took this decision. ”

Trump did not take credit for stopping military conflict between India and Pakistan for the first time

This is the first time in the last few weeks that Trump has not taken credit for stopping military conflict between India and Pakistan. Trump has been claiming several occasions since India and Pakistan decided to stop the military conflict on 10 May that he helped to stop tension between the two countries and he told both nuclear -rich South Asian countries that America would “trade” with them if they stop the conflict.

Modi had a phone conversation with Trump for 35 minutes before leaving Kanainiscis. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had said in a video message from Kanainiscis that Modi told Trump that there was no discussion on the Indo-US trade agreement at any level during ‘Operation Sindoor’ or any proposal for arbitration by the US between India and Pakistan. Modi said that the discussion on stopping military action was directly between India and Pakistan through the existing dialogue channels of the armies of the two countries and it was initiated by Pakistan.

Prime Minister Modi clearly stated that India will never accept the mediation of a third party and there is complete political consensus in India on this matter. Misri said that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, Trump had expressed condolences to Modi and supported him in the fight against terrorism. The phone conversation in Kanainiscis on Tuesday is a “first conversation” between the two leaders since April.

Misri said that Trump listened to the Prime Minister’s words carefully and expressed his support for India’s fight against terrorism. Prime Minister Modi also said that India now sees terrorism not as a pseudo war, but as a war and the ‘Operation Sindoor’ of India is still going on. Trump asked Modi if he could come to America while returning from Canada but the Prime Minister was to go to Croatia as a last phase of his three -country visit in Cyprus. Misri said that due to prior commitments, Prime Minister Modi expressed his inability to visit Washington and the two leaders agreed to try to meet in the near future.

Earlier, Trump described Modi as a “magnificent person” and said that he discussed with him and emphasized that there will be a trade agreement between the two countries. He also reiterated his claim that he had stopped the war between India and Pakistan. The US President said on Wednesday, I have stopped the war … I like Pakistan. I think Modi is a great person. I talked to him last night. We are going to make a trade agreement with India, but I have stopped the war between Pakistan and India. ”

Trump was asked what he was expecting to achieve diplomatically from a meeting with Pakistani General Munir. Referring to Munir, Trump said, “This person had a lot of influence in stopping it (war) from Pakistan.” He said, “Modi and others were from India.” There was a tremendous situation of confrontation between them and both of them are nuclear -rich countries. I stopped it. I don’t think I was telling a story. Did I write a story … I stopped the war between two big countries, big nuclear -rich countries. ”

He said that people know. India started ‘Operation Sindoor’ targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and its occupied Kashmir on 22 April, about two weeks after the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 people died in the Pahalgam attack. These attacks led to a four -day military conflict, which ended with consent to stop military action on 10 May. Sources in the Government of India in Delhi said that the military operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan agreed to stop military actions with immediate effect. He said that there was no third party in it.
