The two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh is going on, while on the other hand the matches of Duleep Trophy 2024 are also being played. In the India D vs India B match, Sanju Samson took his team out of trouble by scoring a quick century. Samson played an innings of 106 runs in 101 balls against India B and during this he also hit 12 fours and three sixes. India D was all out for 349 runs in the first innings and Samson’s contribution was the biggest in this.
Srikar Bharat and Devdutt Padikkal gave India D a good start, both of them together made a partnership of 105 runs for the first wicket. Apart from these two, Ricky Bhui also hit a fifty at number three. Padikkal, Bharat and Bhui played innings of 50, 52 and 56 runs respectively. While Nishant Sindhu scored 19 runs and captain Shreyas Iyer was out without opening the account.
Samson started playing his game as soon as he came and thrashed the bowlers of India B. India B’s bowling attack has bowlers like Mukesh Kumar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Navdeep Saini, Rahul Chahar, Washington Sundar.
This innings of Samson is also special because he scored this century against a quality bowling attack. On the first day of the match, Samson returned unbeaten after scoring 89 runs and on the second day he completed his century. Samson’s wicket went to Navdeep Saini and the catch was taken by Nitish Kumar Reddy. Navdeep Saini took five wickets for India B, while three wickets went to Rahul Chahar’s account.
