Skill education is also compulsory along with studies
To save the new generation from the scourge of unemployment, the Modi government started a campaign to connect them with skills after coming to power. A separate ministry named Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was created. Along with this, a target was set to connect 50 percent of the youth of the country with some skill by 2030. 5 thousand new ITI’s were opened in 10 years, in which more than 6 lakh new seats were created. 1.40 crore youth were trained in some skill or the other. A large number of women are also included in this.
After Narendra Modi became PM, the number of IIMs and AIIMS doubled
After 2014, with Narendra Modi becoming the Prime Minister, there has been a big change in educational institutions. This has completely changed the picture of education. The result of which is that campuses of educational institutions of India are now opening in foreign countries as well. After 2014, the number of IIMs, AIIMS, IITs and medical colleges has also doubled.
A university was built every week in the last decade
Official figures show that India has created a university every week in the past decade. Two new colleges and a new ITI have been set up every day and an Atal Tinkering Lab has been opened every third day. The country has also got 7 new IITs in this period, taking its tally to 23.
