The Congress has started its preparations for the elections in Bihar. Top party leaders on Tuesday reviewed the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar and churned on the party’s roadmap before the election. The meeting chaired by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge attended former party president Rahul Gandhi, Bihar Congress chief Rajesh Kumar and his predecessor Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Bihar in -charge Krishna Allavaru, Congress General Secretary (Organization) KC Venugopal, senior leader Mira Kumar, Tariq Anwar.

Sources said that during this time the ideas were openly exchanged, as the state leaders apprised the leadership about the ground situation and pointed to the areas where there is a need for reinforcement before the elections. The meeting was held a few days after Dalit leader Rajesh Kumar was made the new president of the party’s state unit. 56 -year -old Kharge, who was elected MLA from Kutumba in Aurangabad district, replaced Rajya Sabha MP and former Union Minister Singh.
After meeting Rajesh Kumar, Kharge said in a post in Hindi on X, “Bihar is craving for change. The youth of Bihar want employment, people of Bihar are waiting in the hope of real social justice.” The place of upper caste leader Singh, who is considered close to the senior Bihar ally of the Congress, replaced Rajesh Kumar as the president, reflects a strategic change on behalf of this old party, which is trying to reach the underprivileged sections of the society in an aggressive manner, using Gandhi’s “Save Constitution” and a double slogan demanding nationwide caste survey.
