On June 12, the only person survived in the disastrous aircraft accident of Ahmedabad in Ahmedabad was seen carrying the body of his brother Ajay Ramesh, who was traveling in the same aircraft. In a poignant video on Wednesday, Ramesh was shown recovering from the burnt wounds, who was giving shoulder to his brother’s bier, while the family and the mourning people gathered in Diu for the funeral. Ramesh had earlier appeared in a video exiting the burning debris after the aircraft hit the hostel of BJ Medical College. He was admitted to the hospital due to serious injuries and burns, but recently he was discharged from the civil hospital after his condition was stable.
Funerals were performed in various states
The bodies of seven other people killed in the accident were also brought to Diu for the last rites. On Tuesday, Captain Sumit Sabharwal, senior crew member Aparna Mahadik and crew member Maithili Patil were cremated at his respective hometowns Mumbai, Raigad and Goregaon.
