On Tuesday, June 3, something happened in cricket history that everyone is surprised to see. In fact, the last match of the three -match ODI series between England and West Indies was played on June 3 at The Oval ground in London. The toss was delayed by 40 minutes for this match. The reason for this was traffic jam.
The delay in the toss was not due to wet outfield or rain, but traffic jam. Let me tell you that the West Indies team got stuck in London traffic and did not reach the stadium before the toss. West Indies players were stuck in heavy traffic in the north area of the Tesm River. Some England players resorted to bicycles to avoid deposits and they had reached the stadium earlier. Players like Harry Brook, Bridan Cars, Jose, Matthew Pots left their team bus and used lime bicycle to reach the stadium.
The England team won the first two matches and took an unassailable 2–0 lead in the series. The first match of the series was played on 29 May in Birmingham. In which the hosts won by 238 runs and then England won by three wickets in the second ODI held in Leeds on June 1.
