Passengers, crew members and pilots have all died in the Air India flight 171 accident. In this incident, only one person is left alive who is Vishwas Kumar Ramesh. His escape in this serious accident has surprised the world. After this incident, people have become confident of God and miracles again. Vishwas Kumar succeeded in escaping alive by crossing all obstacles. 241 people were killed in this accident.
It is that after the accident, Vishwas Kumar escaped from the front part of the aircraft. He was on such a seat, that is, a part of the aircraft which is usually considered less safe than the back part in the event of an accident. Vishwas Kumar is currently recovering from his injuries in a local hospital. Talking to DD News, he said that the side where I was in the plane landed on the ground next to the hostel. When the door was broken, I saw that there was place there and tried to get out. On the other hand there was a hostel and I saw no one could leave. Where I was sitting, there was some space (to get out). “
The 11th row of 787 Dreamliner aircraft of Boeing – which crashed in the hostel of medical students in Ahmedabad – is located just behind the exit gate on both sides, and there are further business class seats. The seat is 11A, a window seat, which is right next to the exit gate, and the cabin crew seat is also right in front of it.
“All this happened in front of my eyes. I myself can’t believe how I survived. For some time I felt that I would die. Kumar said in a video interview,” However, when my eyes opened, I realized that I was alive. I removed my seat belt and tried to get off the aircraft. An air hostess and some passengers were all dead in front of me. “
Safest seat
The combination of several factors resulted in survived from the accident. Which is the safest seat in the aircraft and is 11A eligible? There is no clear answer to this. But from a statistical perspective, the tail part is considered the safest. Kumar Wing was sitting just beyond the box area, the part of the wing which is structurally stronger than the rest of the aircraft. The wings are full of jet fuel and they may have been torn when they collide. Being ahead of three lines would have helped.
Luckily, the part of the aircraft in which Kumar was sitting, collided with the ground – while the back was over the hostel – and could some extent the impact of the explosion. The most important thing is that there was a exhaust gate on the left side of which there was an open space, which cleared the way to escape, it has been told in his testimony.
Further part – less safe
According to the statistics, the front part of the aircraft – from where Kumar survived – is considered less safe than the back. Time magazine analyzed 35 years of accident data in a 2015 study and reported that the deaths of the people behind in plane accidents decreased.
According to the study, the mortality rate at the seats in the previous third part of the aircraft was 32 percent, while 39 percent in the third part and 38 percent in the third part. Given the position of the row, the study found that the back of the aircraft had the best results (28 percent mortality) on the middle seats. The worst condition was the seats located in the corridor in the third part of the cabin of the aircraft.
In April 2012, a team from Television Studios pretended to have a plane crash in Mexico, where the Crash Test Dummy and other scientific equipment, Boeing 727-200, was blown on the ground. The results of the test showed that the passengers sitting in front of the aircraft would be at the highest risk in the accident, while those sitting close to the wings of the plane suffered live -livelihood injuries. The testing dummy near the tail part was quite intact, so most of the passengers present there would have survived without serious injury.
Another study conducted in 2007 by American popular science magazine popular mechanics found that the survival rate of those sitting on the rear edge of the aircraft feather was 69 percent. This rate was 56 percent for the people sitting in the middle part, and this rate was 49 percent for the seats next to the aircraft.
These statistical trends are very specific for the conditions of the accident related accidents. In some accidents, such as when the back of the aircraft first collides with the ground, deaths may occur in the back of the aircraft. In other cases, where the front or middle part of the aircraft is the most affected by the effect, people sitting behind are more likely to survive in an accident. It is worth noting that the study of Time magazine found that in many accidents, the number of survivors was irregular – “Those who were killed were irregularly scattered among the survivors”. The FAA has constantly stated that there is no section of the airplane that is more or less secure than the second section and the most important work can be done for the safety in any flight.
