The External Affairs Ministry said, “On the invitation of the Trump-Vance swearing-in committee, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Donald J. was elected the 47th President of America. Will represent the Government of India at Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.
Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will represent India at the swearing-in ceremony of US President-elect Donald Trump on January 20. The Ministry of External Affairs said on Sunday that during his visit to Washington, Jaishankar will also hold a meeting with representatives of the incoming Trump administration of America.
The External Affairs Ministry said, “On the invitation of the Trump-Vance swearing-in committee, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Donald J. was elected the 47th President of America. Will represent the Government of India at Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.
“During the visit, External Affairs Minister (Jaishankar) will also hold meetings with representatives of the incoming US administration as well as some other dignitaries visiting the US to attend the swearing-in ceremony,” the External Affairs Ministry said in a statement.
