Four people were killed and 20 others were injured in a bomb blast near a market in Pakistan’s disturbed Balochistan province. This information was received from media reports on Monday.
The explosion occurred near Jabbar Market in Balochistan’s Fort Abdullah district on Sunday, causing heavy damage to the building and causing panic on a large scale.
According to the news of the ‘Express Tribune’ newspaper, several shops collapsed after the explosion and several establishments caught fire. Fort Abdullah Deputy Commissioner Riyaz Khan said that four people were killed and 20 others were injured in the blast.
He said that the market was located near the back wall of the Frontier Corps (FC) Fort. The explosion was followed by firing between unknown assailants and FC personnel.
Law enforcement officers sealed the area and started a campaign to explain and evacuate the area. The injured include a security guard of the tribal Haji Faizullah Khan Gabijai and many others.
The explosion occurred a few days after the death of four levy personnel in a deadly firing by unknown armed people on a ‘check post’ in Nal area of Khujdar district.
