Police arrested Pinaki Banerjee, the college security guard Pinaki Banerjee, in an important incident in an ongoing investigation into alleged gang rape of a student at South Calcutta Law College. This is the fourth arrest in this case, which has created outrage and demanded quick justice. Rabindranath Banerjee’s son Banerjee (55) is a resident of Ramnath Ghosh Garden Road under Khardah police station in Kolkata and Naskarhat Khalpar Dakshinpara near Mahabir Multi Gym under Kasba Police Station. He was detained by the town police for his suspected involvement in the incident on the college campus last Saturday.

Gang rape of law student
The first year student of South Calcutta Law College, in a complaint to the police, alleged that on the evening of June 25, an alumni and two senior students of the institute gang -raped her. The three accused were arrested on Thursday and a medical examination of the woman was also conducted on the same day. The girl’s genitals and thighs have external injuries, as well as bruises around her neck. In the case of gang rape of a law college student in Kolkata, the police suspect that the main accused, after rejecting the marriage proposal, carried out the incident with his colleagues. The medical examination confirmed the gang rape of a law college student.
