The countries of the world are making economic progress with mutual cooperation, while the neighboring country Pakistan is going into the abyss due to fanaticism and conservative thinking. Pakistan needs world class experts who can give direction in all areas of development. On the contrary, the so-called religious preacher Zakir Naik is working to push Pakistan, which is already in the well of misery, into a deep dark well. Zakir Naik, the most wanted criminal in India, is trying to make people more ignorant by giving them absurd and baseless information in the name of religion. Pakistan is already going through a period of destruction, in such a situation a criminal like Zakir Naik is pushing it further.
According to the World Bank, more than 40 percent of the population in Pakistan lives below the poverty line. In the year 2023, the poverty rate in Pakistan would increase to 39 percent. That means, within a year the poverty rate increased from 34.2 percent to 39.4 percent. Because of this, 1.25 crore more people had to fall below the poverty line. Thus, now 95 million people in Pakistan are living in poverty. Pakistan is the fourth largest debtor of IMF. Earlier Pakistan was at fifth position. Ever since Pakistan became independent, it has taken loan from IMF 23 times. As of March 31, 2023, Pakistan had an IMF loan of $7.4 billion and Pakistan was the fifth largest debtor of the IMF. With the new loan of three billion dollars, Pakistan’s total debt will be $10.4 billion. This amount in Indian currency is Rs 852.39 lakh crore. According to this, Pakistan will become the fourth largest debtor of IMF. In this country of Mullahs and Maulvis, about 2.53 crore children in the age group of 5 to 16 years are not going to school. Of these, 1.88 crore children live in rural areas. 53 percent of these children are girls. Instead of inviting experts from the world to overcome this plight of the country, the Government of Pakistan invited fugitive Zakir Naik of India as the country’s guest to preach. Controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, wanted on alleged money laundering charges, is in Pakistan amid tight security for his lecture series in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. He was received by top leaders of the government in Pakistan, including Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program of Pakistan Rana Mashhood and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Syed Ata-ur-Rehman.

Zakir Naik is known for his inflammatory speeches and is currently wanted by the National Investigation Agency of the Government of India in a 2016 money laundering case. He is also accused of provoking people with his hate speech. Naik runs a channel called PeaceTV, which has been banned in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka due to its controversial nature and has also been denied entry into Canada and the United Kingdom. Controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, who arrived in Pakistan, launched a scathing attack on Pakistan International Airlines for not waiving off the extra baggage charges. He was traveling from Malaysia to Pakistan and the airline offered Naik only a 50 percent discount. Naik said that this never happens in his own country. He said this while pointing towards India. These comments of the Islamic preacher quickly went viral on social media. Where many users trolled and criticized Zakir Naik. This Islamic preacher has been absconding from India since 2016, when the National Investigation Agency (NIA) registered a case against him after the terrorist attacks in Bangladesh. One of the attackers had confessed that he was influenced by Naik’s sermons on YouTube. Naik has since lived in Malaysia, where he continues to preach and lecture. India has demanded his extradition, but Malaysia has not yet responded. The central government has declared him a fugitive, banned his Islamic Research Foundation and canceled his passport. Earlier, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who visited India on August 20, had said that the country will not promote terrorism if sufficient evidence is presented in the case related to fugitive preacher Zakir Naik. Zakir is living in Malaysia after absconding from India.
Fugitive Islamic preacher Naik met with Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Muzzamil Iqbal Hashmi and other members during his visit to Pakistan. When Naik reached Pakistan on September 30, he was warmly welcomed by members of the terrorist organization in Lahore. Naik is spreading hatred and bigotry in Pakistan under the guise of religion.
Zakir Naik, who used to talk about Sharia rule, suddenly got angry in a program. When the opportunity came to give an award at a charity program for orphan children in Islamabad, Zakir Naik was stunned. There was a program of Pakistan Sweet Home and when Zakir came on stage, he refused to give awards to orphan children. Zakir said that these girls are non-mahram and hence he will not give the award. Na-Mahram means a kind of unknown identity, unknown, stranger. Due to this action of Naik, the aware people of Pakistan reacted sharply against him. A few hours before this program, he had a conversation with Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif. Sharif praised Naik’s Islamic knowledge and said he was practical and influential. President of the Pakistani Church Synod, Bishop Rev. Dr. Azad Marshall, in a recent letter to President Asif Ali Zardari, expressed his concern about the comments made by Dr. Zakir Naik about the Christian community and their faith during his visit. He also criticized the government for not expressing regret over Naik’s comments in the letter. The bishop said Naik openly questioned the authenticity of our faith, defamed our holy scriptures and made statements that undermine the beliefs of Christian clergy and scholars. Similarly, Zakir left no stone unturned in insulting women. In a program, Naik said that unmarried women are marketable. After this comment there was a lot of uproar on social media in Pakistan.
There is no dearth of Mullahs and Maulvis in Pakistan who teach Shariat and Islam to the people. Their interference extends to government and administration. There is still a lack of science, technology and modern thinking in Pakistan. The people of Pakistan are struggling with domestic terrorism, poverty, hunger and unemployment. Due to the criminal activities of the people of Pakistan, Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia and UAE have banned visas. Zakir Naik, who is propagating fanaticism, did not even express a one line response on all these issues. His religious speeches are adding salt to people’s wounds. The situation in Pakistan cannot improve until the people of Pakistan, who are helpless and backward, boycott hypocrites like Zakir.
