A tremendous political drama emerged in the national capital on Friday when a team from the Anti -Corruption Branch (ACB) reached AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal’s residence at 5, Ferozeshah Road.The order of investigation was given just one day before the counting of the votes of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, for which the election was held on 5 February. The ACB gave a legal notice to Arvind Kejriwal and sought details and evidence about his allegations, in which he said that the BJP tried to buy and sell the candidates of his party before the Delhi assembly election results.

The ACB said in the notice that Delhi’s Anti -Corruption Branch, GNCT is investigating allegations of bribery offer to Aam Aadmi Party MLAs. These allegations are very serious and therefore requires immediate investigation and intervention of ACB to establish the truth in the case. Therefore, you are requested to be available at any convenient time on today i.e. 07.02.2025 to provide the following information.
ACB question
1- Provide evidence on various media/social media forums to support the claims/allegations of purchases made by you and your party members.
2- Kejriwal has also been asked to explain why those who spread such allegations should not be prosecuted to create “panic and unrest” among the people of Delhi.
3- Do you agree with the contents of the tweet that 16 MLA candidates of your party have been offered bribe?
4- Details of 16 MLAs of MLA who have received phone calls regarding the alleged bribe offer.
5- Details of phone numbers/persons contacting the above MLAs regarding the alleged bribe offer.

However, AAP strongly criticized the ACB action and described it as an attempt to scare the party before the election results. Sanjeev Nasiyar, head of the Law Cell of the Aam Aadmi Party, said that the ACB had no legal notice and he only sat outside Kejriwal’s house because he does not know what to do. Nasiyar claimed, “At first he had no legal notice. After one and a half hours, he gave us notice. The entire drama has been done by the Lieutenant Governor’s office with the BJP. Officials were under pressure. ”Singh alleged that more than 16 AAP candidates have been tried to separate them from the party.
