Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, while campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) here on Tuesday, accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of “failing” to fulfill its election promises.
He urged the people to drive the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP across the Yamuna. Saini made this appeal to the people while addressing a public meeting in Rajinder Nagar in Central Delhi.
Last year, three candidates preparing for the Civil Services Examination died due to water logging in the basement of a coaching institute, after which this area was in the news.
Attacking the AAP-led government at the public meeting, Saini alleged that it has failed to fulfill its promises. Saini said, “He had promised clean water, but people are struggling with dirty water…Kejriwal had promised to make Delhi like Paris, but the city’s roads are in a bad condition.” He has failed to fulfill his promises in the last 10 years.
Taking a dig at former Chief Minister Kejriwal, Saini said that the AAP supremo has come out of Tihar on “leave” and will return to jail after the election results are declared. Kejriwal is out on bail in a case related to Delhi liquor policy.
Responding to Saini’s allegations, the Aam Aadmi Party said in a statement, “The people of Delhi reject such hateful rhetoric. They are standing with an honest government.” Assembly elections in Delhi will be held on February 5 and counting of votes will take place on February 8.
