During this, students also gave good response on English and Tamil but there was no response on Hindi. Then Ashwin said that Hindi is not the national language of India.
Ashwin said, I thought I should say this, Hindi is not our national language, it is an official language. Various comments were received on social media on the statement of the former cricketer. However, during this time the fans were seen divided into two factions. Some came out in support of Ashwin while some started trolling him regarding this.
At present, Ashwin had said goodbye to international cricket after the third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played at Gabba at the end of last year. He has played 106 Tests, 116 ODIs and 65 T20 matches for India in which he has taken 537, 156 and 72 wickets respectively. He also has 6 centuries to his name in Test cricket.
